My Month in Film: February 2016

Slow news month, and I still haven’t gotten out to see the movies I had assumed I’d see by now, such as The Witch and Deadpool.

Elwood indicated to me he probably wouldn’t get the latest TV Good Sleep Bad released this month.

Other movies I watched in February

  • Star Wars: The Force Awakens (J.J. Abrams, 2015): Second viewing; finally took my dad to see it. Saw it in 3D.
  • Jailbait aka 17 and Life (Jared Cohn, 2014): Softcore women-in-prison exploitation exercise from the Asylum. It’s not particularly good, but considering its genre and production house—not to mention the fact that lead actress Sara Malakul Lane is clearly twice the age of the character she’s playing—it’s surprisingly watchable. Probably not a classic of the genre, but it’s at least as good as Prison Heat.
